This theme was touched upon in another thread and I wanted to discuss it further.

"Yes, I hope my neighbors are as open and friendly as I am. I consider my neighbors friends, not just neighbors."

Well, they certainly seem to be polite ;-).

They really are and great people. We enjoy BBQ's with them, drinks, parties, etc. I am very happy where I live and will continue to make it be a great place to bring up my family and any other family that wants to live there too.

"Reading the local paper is NOT searching but if you think so-lol!!"

Well, either you read your newspaper from cover to cover, including all articles, or else you are searching for the information in the local paper :-).

"If I CHOOSE to look on a local site then that is my choice as it IS out there for the public to see and not sure WHY it would be wrong to see it."

I didn't say it was wrong. I said that you search for the information, which you do. You are actively choosing to go to a site and look up information about other people's income. That's not accidentally finding out or being told by the person in question, that's searching for the information.

Whether it is wrong or not apparently depends on cultural expectations. In your culture, apparently, there is nothing wrong with looking up other people's salaries. In my culture, it would be considered wrong, vastly impolite and possibly bordering on mental instability. Different strokes for different folks :-)!

Sometimes, yes. Sometimes, no.

Again, what is your definition of a public company?

Individual salaries don't really intrigue me. I am satisfied to know the ranges. I don't need to know each teacher's salary to the very last penny to understand the budget. It would be penny wise and pound foolish IMO. Knowing the total cost of teachers is much more informative IMO.

So you actually see the drugs? How do you know they are drugs? I have people coming to my house who don't live here. Yet, no one is breaking the law.
