I realize you can't generalize when it comes to gender, you can find good and bad in both of them.  I was just curious what everyone's experiences have been when it comes to management, if you've have a better experience with a man versus a woman.

In your experience, who have been the better bosses?  Did your experiences differ when it came to the position you were in, the career path you were on, or whether you had children at the time or were childless?

Nope, know how it works. Familiar with the marketing dept. What makes our lives hell most of the time is 2 words, Dr. Oz lol

Well, if the marketing department makes "our lives hell most of the time is 2 words, Dr. Oz", then there is something wrong with the marketing and sales plan. If the marketing dept doesn't know Dr Oz is going to talk about some supplement or another then they are incompetent. Good Dr Oz talk should be in the plan and as well as bad Dr Oz talk.I imagine marketing is involved with all good or bad Dr Oz talk, and if not, you need some new marketing people.

This is not rocket science.

I didnt say the marketing dept did, I said Dr. Oz does lol Since you do not know how our company is run, it is suffice to say that my many years of experience holds rein over what your company does. It is a billion dollar company and making more everyday so I think they got it down how the industry works :)

Just pointing out that 1) you aren't the only one who works for a billion dollar company; 2) your experience is yours, mine is mine, and both seem to be different the chestnut's; 3) given the information that you've shared, your experience sounds similar to mine.

I think I know how management works and I think your impression of how the company works is ...uniformed. I do know what your company does, vitamin, supplements...etc. If they can't manage their staff efficienty due to Dr Oz, they' are "doing it wrong".

Billion dollar companies fail with poor management.

<my many years of experience holds rein over what your company does>

Really? I know you have no rein [[sic] of what my company does.We plan

Thanks for the info Chest....just like I do not know your everyday ins and outs at your job, neither do you about mine. We work very well but nothing is 100% perfect and I work in a high pace industry with huge demands that are most met before but there are some things you can not predict. We have people who work on the latest, greatest new things but that does mean outside influences and media increase the demand for things last minute. If you dont get in right away, you lose. I am confident that everyone knows what needs to be done and we get to see the results in our yearly profit sharing benefit. Makes it worth it to watch my retirement increase by just doing my job and not having to put my own money in :)
