I chose "no" only because there was no "not only no but hell no!" check box.

It's the difference between donating to a homeless shelter and giving money to a panhandler.

"i don't always do that but sometimes,i do give to beggars just because of the example it might set for my kid."

I am the opposite. I don't give to beggars because that is not an example I want to show my children.

If I have an extra dollar, I will give to anyone who needs it.

You never know if you'll be in that same boat someday.

Karma.

If someone asked me for a freakin' dollar, I'd give it to them!

If she was wearing a long black skirt, I see that lady everywhere it seems. There are 3 ladies (2 young adults, 1 older woman) wearing long black skirts and holding a sign about lost job, kids to feed. I've seen them several times, but never together. I gave the older one an umbrella when it was starting to rain.

Since I have never seen you over my shoulder when I am writing checks you have no idea how generous I am.

The example that I have shown my kids is that begging is not something to be rewarded. There are many other ways to help someone than to give them a dollar, like helping to fund the places where they can get the help they need.

I am showing them that begging is not the way to get things.

Every month I send money to charities that do help people in need so I guess I get brownie points for acts of kindness also. I just choose to do it in a different way.

Oh I see---so you teach them that you're willing to give to people, but only on YOUR terms.
