Do you think a SAHM should go back to work once the kids start school?

  • Absolutely, why shouldn't she? There's no reason why she shouldn't.
  • It's up to her & her family.
  • No, not really. What do the kids being in school have to do w/ her working?

I can't believe that this woman is actually married.. I think she is making it up.. I don't know a man that would ever put up with having DW come home and tell him she is changing careers and he can't have a retirement on her "dime". Jeezus what did you get married for in the first place???

Dh & I discuss everything in full detail. From the most important things to how much we should buy that week at the grocery store! We have our nightly chat sessions averaging an hr to two hrs 7 nights a wk after the kids are in bed. We talk about our life, our future, run this or that by the other, tell each other about our entire day, and then just "talk" about everything else in the world we can think of. We are truly husband & wife, lovers, and best friends! We are one since we made the committment to spend our lives together. He wouldn't ever dream of TELLING me or ANNOUNCING anything from career change to he wants more downey in his underwear lol

Well now you know that not everyone has them. So it should no longer come as a surprise to you that many parents have to schlepp their kids around (that is what you believed in the beginning, correct?). Learn something new every day :-). And I mentioned my school district to forestall any argument that there must be a relationship between affluency and the presence of school buses. I have known poorer districts that have had school buses and very rich districts that haven't.

Now if someone could explain to me why some districts have school buses and others don't, I would be very interested....

Jeez, If there was a rule that TV (or computer can't be turned on unless absolutely everything in the house was done then I'd never get to watch TV/play computer. Right now I have a dryer full of towels (been there since Sunday). It's just as easy to go to the dryer to get a towel as the linen closet.

Exactly, ill give you a little hint in on how SOME of these ladies think around here. If you dont share your personal life, your marriage your children ect with them you are keeping secrets and perhaps hiding something..

One day my DH asked me about my laundry system. He noticed that towels were always done last and wanted to know if there was a reason behind it. Yes, there is, I don't have to worry about towels wrinkling. I do those last and if I don't feel like folding them then they can just stay there until the next time I do laundry. I have confused my family at times through, they go to the dryer to get a towel and if there it not one there, they don't know what to do until I remind them that we do actually have a linen closet.

There's actually quite a bit of good stuff on cable during the day. Biographies, science, history, home improvement shows ...
