Do you think a SAHM should go back to...

Do you think a SAHM should go back to work once the kids start school?
- Absolutely, why shouldn't she? There's no reason why she shouldn't.
- It's up to her & her family.
- No, not really. What do the kids being in school have to do w/ her working?

This is the town I live in and we have activities 3-6pm and it is working.
Until you have visited our town, spent a few days down at the holiday inn (or for a real feel try out the Super 8), walked around, went to the school, the "y", over to the park where the city holds their activities you really can't say for real because it is obvious from your postings you are talking out the side of your mouth and know nothing about every one's reality in their personal lives where they personally live.
Few spots? Then why are their 60 teams for just soccer? The same for the other sports? With a roster of about 15 kids per team. That right there is 900 just for one sport. Do you call that a few? It isn't here in this town. Our soccer is March/April for Spring and Sept/Oct for Fall and that is it. Basketball is Nov-Feb. Tball/Baseball is April-August. I've been to families' and friend's kids games. Every one of our family members and friends have kids quite a bit older than ours so I'm up on all of this stuff already. Hockey? Doesn't exist here. Not in youth activities, not in adult activities, no professional team.
All of the working parents, both moms and dads, do not own their own businesses. They are not all even managers.
Hob Knob? ROFL OK. Don't see that happening much, but you believe whatever you wish.
I'd never even let a 12yo walk home from school much less stay alone for 30 minutes. Not to mention if you get call here allowing your child to do so it is against the law. Well, school activities are widely popular and prime events here with the kids/families.
Maybe you don't appreciate these types of programs (school, y, parks & rec) but alot of us parents do & we do utilize them and yes, women do become SAHMS to see their kids participate in these events. You may not. But plenty do.
Can you sound any more arrogant and snobby?

At least I can catch Oprah when it's replayed at 9pm in my area. :)
One of our local bookstores did have a pj book reading one night a week but it didn't start until 7, you didn't get out untnil 8 and it was a 20 min drive one way. NO thank you.
We live in a lovely community, I love it. But we aren't AFFLUENT as Opinion says. I count million dollar or plus homes as AFFLUENT not 90-300,000 ones. But maybe that is just me.
