Do you think a SAHM should go back to work once the kids start school?

  • Absolutely, why shouldn't she? There's no reason why she shouldn't.
  • It's up to her & her family.
  • No, not really. What do the kids being in school have to do w/ her working?

Actually, one of my good friends to this day is someone I became friends with on the camp bus.

I'm not going to waste my time explaining something over and over because you can't seem to not misunderstand it. Oh well, it wasn't even TO you anyways.

Your right there is no need to waste your time, you were not responding to me. Your being here longer and knowing back ground makes your pov right or more relevent in your own assumptions.

whatever~

take care....

You have got to be kidding! I don't know of one school district that doesn't have school buses. It may be where I live, though. This little old unpopulated state of New Jersey. My district buses everyone, no matter how far or how close you live. They call if courtesty bussing and we pay for it with our taxes.

I had the best time riding the school bus one year ... we were stationed in UK at one USAF base and the school was at another USAF base about 1/2 hour to 45 minute drive away. They provided us with luxury coaches ... oh man, it was great. I was a sixth grade student ... our ride home thru narrow roads in the English countryside was full of 45 or more kids singing "I don't care too much for Army life, gee mah I wanna go, but they won't let me go ... gee mah I wanna go home!" LOL, I wonder if the Army brats sang it as the Air Force life!!

If my dh wanted to sah and i was to go back to work (as you, we would not live the same life finacially) if we had no plan there would trouble. I would be concerned my dh was heading for a nervous breakdown, I cant imagine in a sec my husband would ever think Iam obligated to him b/c I have ovaries so he will quit his job and sah.Or would he put such pressure on us including him to live under such a stressful situation.

If my dh want's to SAH he may however we will have to plan it out and it will have nothing to do with what Iam obligated to do to him.

I agree there. My daughter is a level 8 gymnast. She doesn't even finish practice until 8:15 in the evening. I don't even want to think about all of the money that I pay to have her there. Between the tuition, the uniform, the parents association, the travel, etc. It is quite a bit of money. I just spendt $500 on plane tickets to Texas for a competition. Good thing I work so that we can afford it. She loves it and she is doing very well.
