For the umpteenth time, it would not be very relevant to anyone here what RE is like in Kalamata or even Athens, so I stick to what RLGL and others might be able to relate to. As far as the decade that you are so focused on, the NYT is online and my business is still in the US.

RLGL is free to classify herself any way she likes. As I told her, several times, defining social class is not a hard science. If she likes to think of herself and her town as middle class, she is absolutely free to do so.

BTW, welcome back. Where were you off to this time?
