Not sure if you missed the part where they were showing the qualifications of a preschool teacher in recent help wanted ads. They do require a certification, maybe some college and some background with children (and that does not include having your own and watching them while you are unemployed).

I am sure MO and CA are the same. Don't have the time right now but maybe you do and you can research the want ads :)

If it's ok with the municipal government and the income is reported to the IRS, then it isn't illegal. You are assuming that a given rental is illegal when there is no evidence that it is.

Well just to clear up your prejudice to Italians, the apts. that I know are illegal were people who were:

Greek, German, Irish, Italian, Ugaslavian (sp?!), Jewish and I am sure more than I know.....

Neighborhood, I said neighborhood. Nobody said that all the people in an Italian neighborhood are Italians, like you for example. Your mom is Irish, right?

Again, I would not rent out any part of my house if I was depending on that money to pay my mortgage or taxes. That money would be for upkeep and repairs of the apt and the rest profit.

In my city work force housing is a critical issue so what happens a great deal is apartments that exceed the number of legal occupents as housing is o dear and scarce - we have had a huge influx of sudanese and somali refugess and we are home to a large and very diverse Latino population mostly from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Columbia -- and the housing challenges facing them are extreme.

Poking holes? No, just stating what was posted before. Just thought it was weird how you can become a teacher so quickly and at this time of the year when schools are usually closed.
