They knew they were being deployed and in order to share a room over there, they had to be married.

But you originally said they WERE deployed.

technically, even though they are still stateside, the military considers them deployed as of June.

I think that you are mistaken.

All I know is that at their deployment ceremony, their Lt Commander said that their deployment will be from june 08 to july 09, therefore they are deployed right now.

my mom told me only 'loose" women color their hair - doesn't make that any more true than what your mom told you.

not. ALL . children. Fight.

I've never raised my hand to another kid growing up and nor has my child, nor did my siblings nor have my nephews. There fore your mother's statement is already proven wrong.

"If gay Americans are not allowed to get married and have all the benefits that American citizens are entitled to by the Bill of Rights, they should get one hell of a tax break. That is my opinion,"

- Jeane "Dear Abby" Phillips, in an interview with Lisa Leff.

It's not your place to judge whether or not my mom is right or wrong.

I pretty sure it is, because Mkat proved your mother wrong - no judgment, just experiential proof.

BTW - as mentioned earlier, my 3 kids, 2 years apart, never engage in fisticuffs, ever (I love that word and I've never had the opportunity to use before in writing, thanks!) ;-)
