Why would it matter how many other couples your officiant had married? I asked my midwife about her experience delivering babies because in that case, experience matters. Why would it matter if you were the first of the fifty-thousandth couple an officiant had married, though? It's not like it gets "more" legal as it goes along!

I have walked out on full carts of groceries a couple of tmies with Liza and that was a big lesson to her that I meant business in the grocery store. just pulled the cart to the side, picked her up and walked out, got in the car and drove home. oh well Liza, no groceries this week .... BIG lesson learned there.

I'm sorry that they're acting that way. I think children act up more around people that they are the most comfortable with. Try to find some sort of leverage. For example, if they love to play video games a lot, every time they physically fight, they lose video game privileges for that day. Don't give them warning after warning after warning. Warn them once, and if they continue for one second more, they've lost a privilege.

I'm just saying what I've been told, though. I know that I'm not speaking from personal experience, and that it's kind of annoying when someone who doesn't have kids (or in my case, older kids) makes parenting suggestions.

Yeah, but I don't pay attention to the religious aspect of things.

Religion affects your everyday life. Just to use the public school schedule as an example. Why isn't there school in Sunday? Why do most schools shut down between December 24 and Jan 2?

Religion affects other things too. It affects the Y and the Boy Scouts. Many of our laws were based on the morals and religion of our Founding Fathers.

For me, personally, my religion is part of my everyday life and my family's life. We take time before each dinner meal to say thank you, light the Chalice, and talk about something good that happened that day. It affects where I shop, it affects what I buy. It even affected my car purchase last year. I try to live my religious principles in my actions- every day.

But in many countries, especially in the Middle East, religion and politics are so closely intertwined, it is impossible to understand the political situation without taking into account the religious background of the countries and the region.
