Did I say use as a GRANDPARENT? No, I did not.

I did not have grandparents that lived by me and then moved nor did my children's do that so that is why I asked savcal if I could use THAT example.

That is quite a statement there that the school would trust ALL the parents. Wow.

Again, the school has to deal with insurance and liabiltity issues so they are liable for ALL the kids who park ON their campus. I can't see their insurance company agreeing with that line of logic.

No because you seem to be arguing with both of us on the amount of time of work vs. the amount of time for the entire week. That was NOT was what orginially being debated.

I would like to debate that. If you are on board for that, great. If not, the discussion is basically done then.

I'm not comparing my schedule to yours. I'm comparing my schedule as a WOHM to what I imagine it would be as a SAHM. As I said before, WOH is the most productive use of my time at the moment. But if all of our financial goals could be met, I would not work. There are more productive ways I could spend my time to benefit our family-- if money was not an issue.

It might not even be more homework but the amount of time it takes two children to do it as my gf's ds is in the same school as my ds, same grade, and it sounds like her ds has more homework than mine. It could also be the teacher they have who assigns more homework according to their schedule in their classroom.

I am sure he does but I would be encouraging my child if they were that good to have continued into h.s. to go for one. Do you or do you think you will?

Where did I say that I wouldn't encourage him if that is what he wanted to do?

No assumptions, just curious.

Does your oldest drive to school?

All assumptions, you don't have a basis to support any of your claims, lol.

I'll answer! In our system, kids can drive to school as soon as they are legally able. For a very few, that is jr high (scooters, cycles and the occasional "old" 'student); for most it is sophomore year.

You really think you can compare the homework load of a MS (or JH?) student to that of a HS student? Seriously?

If you had said money was not an issue, that all financials goals were met, I would have answered differently, that was not in your original question.
