My bad...

You missed this:

How many hours do you work per week? I thought you said you were full time?

Why is that interesting may I ask?

Do you know anything about liability. It's not the school's problem.

Ummm..yes I do--lol!!

If something happens on school property, they are liable.

I don't teach night classes, but on occasion teach classes that go past school pick up time or have late commitments, in which case my husband can pick up our son.

If it is a student that goes to that school. Yep, they are. They can be sued if they allow a student to park on their campus without a license, at least at my school.

Also, if something happens INSIDE the school with a student, they also take responsibility. This is something I have had recent first hand experience with.

So, do you need to show proof of lisence and insurance to park in the local Walmart parking lot?

If the school was a fault, yes. But if a student has a wreck in the parking lot, the drivers involved, and/or their insurance companies are liable. Sure someone could sue the school, but they'd have to prove some sort of fault or negligence,

Schools should take some sort of regulatory caution - of course. But that doesn't relieve the drivers and owners of responsibility. And it doesn't mean the school is required to check insurance verification of every student driver.

Our school district DOES require a valid license, insurance, and registration. It's a good practice. But it isn't something that all schools-across-the-board have to do - I've known several smaller schools that don't go to that extent.
