What part of your parenting is not equal - and why would you do it that way.

Here's our current schedule:

dh walks the dog in the morning and does the dishes from the night before.

I wake up Dylan and take him to school on Tuesday and Thursday.

I'll answer too.

I work 4 10-hour days a week. DH has a much more flexible schedule. He typically works from around 9:30 - 2:30 4 days a week and does all the Masses on the weekends (two Saturday afternoon, three Sunday morning.) He has a regular gig on Tuesday nights at a restuarant and has lots of other gigs at various times throughout the month.

He takes the kids to school. They walk home.

He does most of the cooking. I do most of the grocery shopping.

I do most of the laundry, but I'm making the girls do more of their laundry now.

He mows the grass and does the trimming. I do more weeding, planting, bush trimming, etc.

He takes the garbage to the curb, but is getting the girls to do more of that too. We all take out the garbage, depending on when it's full.

I clean the bathrooms. I tend to do more thorough cleaning of the kitchen (mop floors, wipe down cabinets, clean sink, etc. He'll do dishes and pick up clutter in kitchen. We often make the girls unload and reload the dishwasher.

On saturday mornings, the girls have to pick up, dust & vacuum the family room and hallway.

I usually do (organize) the big project type cleaning - clean out closets, go through change- of-season clothes, wash windows, etc. But usually DH and girls help.

As far as Dr.'s appt & kids activities, it totally depends on who is available. I tend to be home more on weekends and in the evening so I do it then. DH tends to have more flexibility during the weekdays, so he may take care of it then, unless I schedule stuff on my day off.

There biggest activity is Girl Scouts and I'm the leader, so I'm very involved with that.

DH pays the bills.
