Wrt their working status/parenting as an adult?
If you SAH, will you encourage your daughter (or son) to do the same? How would you feel if they chose different from the path you have taken as a parent?

I grew up helping my father build things. I'm fully aware of how much physical strength it takes. Yes, some women can handle what my dad did but that is not a given. The notion that women can do any job nearly killed one of my coworkers not too long ago when a female hydraulics apprentice failed to tighten a fitting. 3000 PSI hydraulic fluid can do a lot of damage. Her excuse? She couldn't turn the wrench (this wrench is huge). IMO, if you can't turn the wrench, don't take the job. I'm no wimp but I couldn't do what my father did. If I took up carpentry, I'd have to specialize in cabinetry or something lighter. My father built some beautiful homes in his day.
