Dear old great Auntie has passed away at 97. She has left you and all of her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, $10,000. The instructions of the Will are that this money must be spent somewhat "frivolously". Not to pay off debt or save for the future. To buy or do something that is on your "before I die" list.

What would you do?

Oooh - I love this - and would love to be able to DO this for my nieces and nephews.

Ok - I would totally take a dream family vacation - or maybe two - I would love to rent a house in a tropical place with kayaks and palm trees. The second would be to rent an RV and make a plan to travel cross country - particularly to the Grand Canyon. Essentially - it would be more time - as I have one going off to college in the fall the fact that time with them being little is precious is not evading me.

Funny, I was just thinking I wish I had 10k to pay for two weeks at a fat farm (more eloquently called a health and fitness spa and resort), where they teach you better exercise/eating/cooking habits. One week now, one week after I lose the first 20 pounds.

Buy every Folkwear pattern I could get my hands on. In reality, I would probably spend it on my kids, my grandkids, and dh.

I'd be kind of miffed about not being able to pay off debt, but ok...

-200 gallon aquarium with silver arowanas and king kong cichlids
-a large tattoo on my calf of all of my fish who have passed on
-some art
-take DD to Tokyo
-visit my sister in Michigan
-buy groceries at Whole Foods
-bigger apartment, maybe with a gym in the building

I think he'd really enjoy seeing an actual castle. That's a great site -- thanks!
