Dear old great Auntie has passed away at 97. She has left you and all of her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, $10,000. The instructions of the Will are that this money must be spent somewhat "frivolously". Not to pay off debt or save for the future. To buy or do something that is on your "before I die" list.
What would you do?

I don't know if your 9 year old would think it's too babyish-- but what about doing part of the Fairytale Route?

Probably take a vacation to Bora Bora as it will cost this much-lol!!!
I'd be kind of miffed about not being able to pay off debt, but ok...
-200 gallon aquarium with silver arowanas and king kong cichlids
-a large tattoo on my calf of all of my fish who have passed on
-some art
-take DD to Tokyo
-visit my sister in Michigan
-buy groceries at Whole Foods
-bigger apartment, maybe with a gym in the building
Buy every Folkwear pattern I could get my hands on. In reality, I would probably spend it on my kids, my grandkids, and dh.
