Would you or could you possibly forgive a cheating spouse? Why or why not??

Is there hope after infidelity?

Do you think SAHM's are more likely to forgive a cheating husband then WOHM's due to financial dependence/independence?

I know quite a few engineers with two daughters. I also know quite a few with parents who have all sorts of problems. I can't speak as to whether or not they post here.

Out of the millions of people on the internet, what do you suppose the odds are of two people being engineers, having two daughters and a mentally ill parent (it's my father who was mentally ill)? In my younger days I would have tried to calculate that, lol.

First we need the odds of having two girls. That's 0.25 (although it is rumored where I work that being an engineer practically guarantees two daughters. For some strange reason that is the trend.) Then we need the odds of being an engineer and posting on line. I have no idea there. Again I have no idea what the odds of having a mentally ill father are but that statistic probably exists somewhere.

Now I'm curious. However, nothing surprises me. If you wait long enough not only will anything/everything happen but all at the same time.

If I guestimate that 1% of people become engineers and 5% of people have a mentally ill parent (I seem to recall that the incidence of psychosis was about 5% of the population when I was in college) then the odds of someone being an engineer, having two daughters and a mentally ill parent are about 0.000125 to 1. That's 125 out of every million. How many people post on line? Would engineers be more likely to post on line than the average population? Given we tend to be anti social technophiles, I would think yes.

Interesting choice of screen names. CindyLouWho and grimskeeper. I hope that's Grimms fairy tales and not the grim reaper. I am mentally morphing cute little Cindy Lou Who holding her candy cane and the grim reaper right now and throwing the Grinch in for good measure, lol.

It's mostly the fact that you have the same exact posting style. Either way you're an interesting addition to the board.

No - I meant no one thought those were her actual initials. Prior username intitals, why sure.

You could have saved me a lot of time trying to get her to understand simple facts if you'd tipped me off sooner! ;-)

Oh, no. This poster needs piano accompaniment. (If you don't know why, don't ask. The rest of us have heard about piano lessons absolutely ad nauseam.)
