Since I'm TV program challenged, who is Annie Camden?

I wondered that, too.

I really had a hard time with this. My "parenting" lessons came from Claire Huxtable and Roseanne. That odd combination has caused me to be most like the mom on Gilmore Girls. Or maybe I just wish that because I like her the best out of all the choices.

I chose Elise Keaton since my eldest (6) is Alex P Keaton come to life. He is the most conservative child and we are both liberals. How does that happen? He even wears collared shirts and tucks his shirts in-I rarely tuck my shirts.

He thinks George Bush hung the moon. I tried to explain deficits the other day to him. O.K.-I was trying to brainwash him. I admit it.

Here was the conversation:

Me: A deficint is when a person spends more money than they have. I buy something for 12.00 but I only have 10.00 so I borrow 2.00.

Zak: Well, O.K. I think I understand.

Me: George Bush is doing that right now and he is increasing the US's debt.

Zak: I heard George Bush reads books to children and has a really cool airplane.

Me: Nevermind.

I will never win. He probably will be president of the Young Republicans and wear ties to high school.

I think of myself as more like Jill Taylor (from Home Improvement). I always loved that show, mainly because of the relationship b/t Tim and Jill, and because of Jill's mothering style. They remind me a lot of myself and dh. Of course, the fact that they had three boys doesn't hurt either... ;) --->Dawn

That's funny because I was going to put "Jill Taylor" as one of the choices, as well as "Debra" from Everybody Loves Raymond then decided not to.

i have been told so many times i cant count, i remind people of rosanne. i guess its my sarcasm. i always say, when the kids were all living home, it was a combination of the simpsons(ds1=bart, dd=lisa), home improvement(dh is 100% tim taylor, and i am very much like jill in the artsy fartsy way), and roseanne(that would be me, although i do think i am a notch above her!! LOL). i cant say who ds2 reminds me of, as he is #3 and just, rides......

My answer was Claire Huxtable, but I sometimes think that dh and I are Ray and Debra on Everybody Loves Raymond, especially since I have become a sahm. Well, dh isn't quite as ridiculous as Raymond, and I hope I'm not as hostile as Debra (although I might be if I lived across the street from my in-laws), but we have our moments ; )
