I completely agree. Even if it is technically feasible with her employer (which is not a given) moms that take paid leaves and then do not return make the workplace that much less accomodating to other moms.

It depends on your financial situation. If you can well afford it then stay home. If its going to cause financial strain, that can wreck a marriage and its not worth it.
