my point. no one here is perfect or their children are perfect,, why should this poster take advice from people who apparently haven't gotten it right

Where did anyone say they had children with no problems? The only advice that has really been given here is that she should try to work out a compromise with her dh in regards to her working. Do you think that is bad advice?

that's my point. is this advice worthy for her to take?

To get a part time job that would bring home a little extra, opposite the shift of her dh so she doesn't have to have her child in the oh so evil daycare?

Well, I don't know. None of us have perfect children. None of us are perfect ourselves. Hey, even God doesn't have perfect children, yet some of us listen to him. This is not the parenting board of perfect people, yet she came here looking for advice. Why? Don't ask me.

The idea that parents who use other care are somehow not raising their children is just as false as the idea that dads who WOH are somehow handing off the care of their children to someone else. This strikes me as a warped, romanticized view of what it means to be a parent, and I truly don't understand where it comes from.

when you meet someone who has gotten every single solitary thing right and has no problems please let me know and I"ll have the nightly news alerted...

we are human. we are flawed. it's part of being human it's part of how we learn and grow. Many of us here aren't above sharing our mistakes and our lessons - that you see that only as making us people unworthy of offering opinion and advice says to me you haven't met many actual human beings in your lifetime...
