again...have you run the numbers, shown him a budget and sat down and made your case with him? Have you brought the proof that you can make it on one income -- so you're both ready toc ommitt to it.

If having a working mom causes the marriage to end then it has done the family no good.

Good luck with the whole "money doesn't matter" thing when your'e a single mom -- and whne your daughter starts growing out of the cute baby clothes you got for shower gifts and when she starts needing new shoes a few times a year, when she starts having doctor, dentist and eye exams, when she asks to be in brownies or take ballet,

Hey! We agree on sopmething. I think she's for real too. I also think her attitude is whiny, immature and irresponsible. But those things aren't incompatible with being for real. The conviction that "nobody should take care of my baby but me" is more insecurity than morality. But she's not alone in having it so I continue to believe she's real until I get better evidence against it. I am not counting her avoidance of sensible suggestions as evidence against it. She doesn't want to hear her husband's side of the story either in conjecture from this board or from her actual husband. But that's not unheard of.

Did you live off one income while you were pregnant and/or on maternity leave?

If thats all you have gotten out of the magnitude of posts to you then I do feel very very sorry for you, your husband and your daughter.

I think you have that backwards....isn't the cause of the problem, a sahm?

Again, what did you to prior to having a baby in order prepare financially for a sahm?
