actually, infant ratios are generally much lower than that...usually 1:3 or 1:4 ....and of course the babies all are on different schedules so they can easily be taken care of.

Umm, how about "more easily taken care of." I could agree with that. Personally I wouldn't want to take care of 4 babies at once! And saying they are easily taken care of because they are all on different schedules . . . I can't agree to that.

Military daycares are 1-2 for under 1, 1-4 for one year olds and two year olds and it goes up from there.

Oh I agree with that. 1 to 7 ratio is pretty ridiculous. Just in reading this board for the last umpteen years, I've never heard it that high. She was probably guesstimating.

It sounds like the main problem that you DH has with you sah is that he does not think you (family) can afford it.
