Why does the media portray working moms, always, as having guilt?

I don't think it was that hard.

"The disorder was first called ADD in 1980."
Excerpt from

That would have made me 9. I think your brother would have been out of elementary school by then that have known the actual name for the disorder.

Exactly. My daughter is the same way. Her shower will be so short that when we look at her she still has soap in her hair. We have made her go back in. She is getting better with showing me her hair now so I will see she has really rinsed it out!!

How old are your children? You also have no boys. Boys are soooooo different than girls. I can't believe what a difference between my 2 kids are. I always have to look for him to see what he is trying to get into or climb on!! My sister says the same thing.

How old did you say your dd is? I would expect better manners than that if she is over 5.

So I assume you did not have a stressful job when your children were younger? Mine is and even though at this time of the year it is less stressful, some days are bad and just put that on top of coming home and taking care of a family, it is tiresome.

Yes, I choose for my family to live in a clean home, have healthy (most of the time-lol!) meals for them, clean laundry and just an overall nice lifestyle.

I never said you said I should be ashamed. I was making an overall statement.

I haven't washed Dylan since he was 5, before he went to Kindergarten. We did run the water in the bath for him but he drained it when he was done after he came out and got inspected. If he passed, he went back and emptied the tub. If he didn't, he got back into the tub.

It is one of the things that kids need. It is part of childcare.

i agree...ADHD was unheard of in the 80s. i do remember the start of conditions like ADD back then and ritalin..i can't believe my dd's condition is as old as the 80s,too. my sister whose a speech and language pathologist told me cases of her condition date back to the 70s and 80s. it's still so rare, though.
