Why does the media portray working moms, always, as having guilt?

If you reread what I said, I was NOT calling HER a lax parent.

it's perfectly ok to say the lax parent comment was aimed at me... b/c I take that as a badge of honor.... ;-)

It does something, I am guessing....don't hold me to this, it's not my speciality.

Yes he can but there are still things he can not do himself. He can not lift heavy things, can not do part of the dvd player. He is very fickle (as they sometimes are at this age) and he will have a fit if you give him something that he has changed HIS mind about but YOU don't know that-lol!! He still needs his food cut up, he still needs helping get dressed. There are so many things that he does do independently (he has no problem playing games and toys by himself) but there are somethings he still needs help with.

Have you never been to their home? I have known my mil and fil (divorced) for almost 20 years and know exactly how they live. I find that weird not to know how they live.
