Why does the media portray working moms, always, as having guilt?

I tell you, you have to run it like boot camp, or they walk all over you!

They decide because they have bills to pay. Many women do not want to live like it is the 50's anymore and we have more choices and want to make a difference in the world. Is there a little jealously that you never got to work and meet other women and maybe have adult conversations?

When both my kids were still at home I was working between 25-30 hours per week. That gave my at least 10 hours a week more time to attend to the household stuff than dh had. I would not have felt right splitting everything equally because I had more time available. I liked getting the bulk of the chores done in the 2 hours or so per day that I had at home so that we could do more fun stuff in the evening and on weekends.

Same in my house. They are allowed to have something but they need to ask. My 3 yr. old especially is not aware how close a meal might be, even though he tries his hardest to get a snack-lol!!

Excuse me? I don't know if you are new, don't think so but we don't come at people like that on this board.

No, she has gone to school many times without her work. I am the only one stressing out over it as "I" am getting the calls. It doesn't bother her. She does excellent in school otherwise.

My 28 lb 3yo carries the gallon of milk in for me when I bring in groceries.

I mop up spills. I don't mop the whole floor. It just usually doesn't need it. If, for some odd reason it does, I do it.

We have one cat. We have rugs at all the entrances to trap mostof the outside dirt. We don't have to walk on dirt/grass from the car to the house, so no, it really doesn't need vacuumed more often than every 2 weeks.
