Why does the media portray working moms, always, as having guilt?

Your sarcastic post wasn't really nice either.

I thought you agreed that it was more a personality issue than a gender one? If you had my 8 yo dd, you'd understand that it is more personality than gender. My dd would probably make your son look calm.

It doesn't sound like too many are using 3 bathrooms.

I still think it is both.

Thanks for answering. I was just wondering. More because I tend to be OCD (Erica comes by that diagnosis naturally :) and have a hard time letting go of some household chores but not others. Hence, I do laundry but have no problem with dh doing the bathrooms. The dishes, on the other hand, I go back and forth on. I love it when dh does the dishes but hate it when he hand washes dishes that can go into the dishwasher or doesn't clean the top of the stove and wash the cast iron at the same time. It's a irrational reaction, I know, and I try to control it but it will come out. But usually I can suppress it until dh isn't around.

I kind of miss having a basement, too. But I know it's prrobably for my own good. I'd just store more stuff than I really need in it. But I sure would like one anyway! LOL

I'd actually thought about granite counters and then I saw some commercial for a cleanser that was "gentle enough for your granite countertops." Eh? It's a ROCK!!! How gentle does it have to be?!? And if it HAS to be "that gentle" why would I want it as a countertop? I'm holding out for cement counters now ;)

You've gotten answers to that question. We just seem not to be getting answers to the questions we're asking you. Why?

Well, I'm gonna guess you'll both know where her hair is. The bookbag, shoes and toys? Yeah, that's on her to find. And if 30 minutes isn't enough time for her, start her searching early. Like BEFORE she eats breakfast, she's got to SHOW you where her bookbag and shoes are and put them at the front door. Then and ONLY then does she get to eat, let alone play with anything.

One of the best ways to teach her is to make her responsible for them. If you're always needed to find her, she's learning nothing except, "Why bother? Mom will find them."
