Why does the media portray working moms, always, as having guilt?

Sure. But there's no reason thirst must be addressed with juice (which is like addressing hunger with cookies 24/7) or milk. There's no valid reason why a kid can't drink water between meals.

~~and wants to do things "her" way~~

Well, heaven forbid. As her mother, I'm sure such an attitude is a complete mystery to you.

None of my kids went to "infant school". They either started public school at 8th, 6th, 2nd grade, or Kindergarden (Joy, Erica, Angela, and Dylan respectively). The age for formal school of some kind (public, private, homeschool) is age 6 by Dec 2nd, in CA, if I am remembering correctly. Although, it is cultural for most kids start around age 5 in Kindergarten.

Well, if your children had been taught to clean their own toys that wouldn't be an issue for you, would it?

Since most of us don't live in a toxic waste dump, going to bed occasionally with some toys out won't cause an horrific mold or mildew problem.

Only in one way is Dylan more exhausting than all three of his sister combined. He never stops talking to/at me. Oh, and I'm an older mother now. So that's 2 ways.

I don't either. Mops are filthy and disgusting. I like my swiffer, too and for a really long time I only had the dry one (and just used soapy cloths which could be laundered on hot and in bleach for mopping). Now I have both kinds. (the dry and that spray/mop thingie. Although most of my mopping is still done on the dry one with wet or soapy cloths that I can wash. Once a month on kitchen week, I'll use the wet Swiffer.

In our house, if you can't pick up the game/toy after you're done playing with it, maybe your aren't old enough to play it in the first place. Same rule applies to climbing trees. The first time of getting the child down out of the tree is a freebie. After that, he/she better be able to get down themselves. As for pouring milk from a full gallon container, I agree. Dylan can and does pour his own milk if it's not a full gallon. But how hard is it really to pour one more glass at meal times? Two or three glasses isn't any more time consuming than one or 2.

You forgot that any parent who isn't exhausted all the time is either a rotten, neglectful parent or has those miracle OLDER children that function much like a defrost fridge.
