Why does the media portray working moms, always, as having guilt?

Um....it was your post that implied being a neglectful mother becuase a 5 year old could take a bath on their own, thus that meant that I didn't do anything else for them and so forth.

The "treatment" is just a cream, like wax, that you spread on the countertops, leave for awhile and then wipe off. Not too hard in my opinion. I do that now just to clean my stovetop. My dh does that to his car once or twice a week-lol!!

Are you a man? I don't know any women who talk like you do.

Teaching children to do things to learn independence is one thing. It seems like many parents have their children do things so it is less work for themselves. I have a neighbor whose child got burned by the stove because he was cooking his own breakfast at the age of 7. Why? Because it was less work for her to do so she could continue sleeping.

Most women don't say that other women just "chat, chat, chat".

Were you joking when you told me I was a bad mother because my 5 year old could take a bath on his own?

Bad, if he takes a bath by himself only, no. If you made him run the water, take the bath, never check on him, check to see if he cleaned himself properly, then yes.

It is good for her, she is clean. I'm sure it only takes her a couple of minutes too.
