Why does the media portray working moms, always, as having guilt?

I know I joke around but honestly now would you judge me b/c I don't vacuum every day or clean under the beds or care if my tv is free of dust? Woudl you think less of me as a person based on my house? truly? That is what I find hard to swallow...you want to keep an immaculate house knock yourself off -- it wouldn't alter my view of you as a person just b/c you clean differently than I do. Would you really gossip and judge someone if their house wasn't "as clean" as yours?
who I am has so little to do with wheter my completely cheapo non granite countertops are clean...what I stand for and what I'm like to hang out with has absolutely nothing to do with whether my coffee table is dusty. I have a warm loving happy comfortabl home I take pride in b/c it's MY home bought with MY money and no one else's but I'm not about to waste the precious wonderful free time I have with liza and Kelly by spending too much time cleanning more than what I feel we need to.
if you knew me IRL would you think me less funny, less warm, less smart, less a good mom simply b/c I have a little dust in my house?
Yes. We. Did.
"I don't clean like I did when I was a kid or even when I first got married."
me neither -- I used to think it was REALLy important and I'd spend a whole day cleaning. I know better now...it's not important at all...however this glorious day and a picnic with friends and Kelly and our long morning hangnig out on the couch drinking coffee and talking is...
Yes. We. Did.
I am wondering about the sizes of homes as it relates to the question of cleaning. I have a 2800 square foot home. I have a lot more to do to keep it clean than someone with say a 1400 square foot home.
Quite honestly, you seem to spend plenty of time on the computer too, so accusing others of neglecting other things in lieu of spending time on the computer seems rather hypocritical.
