Why does the media portray working moms, always, as having guilt?

How do you know that others here haven't done many things already too?

I am trying to teach my children that people are more important than chores. That is why I spent this morning with them and dh on the patio by the pool. Later today, I will see my fil in hospice. If the house doesn't get clean....oh well.

But it does NOT have to get in the way. My mother never let it get in the way and neither do I. Maybe because I get up so early and just start going? My dh does errands on Sat. mornings and I will do major cleaning when needed (not as much now in the summer-I get dressed faster to sit out in the sun-lol!). By lunch, the errands are done, the house is cleaned, laundry put away and we are out the door for the rest of the weekend.

And sometimes that will happen that there are other things more important. Believe me just a few months ago I was so embarassed of my tub because I let it go. My dh reassured me that was fine and just get into a routine if I felt that way. I have, especially since I do have people sleeping over recently.

Why would you be embarrased about your tub?

I don't work far from home so a usual morning consists of spending time with the kids for 2-3 hours and it only takes me 15 minutes from work door-daycare door-home door.
