Why does the media portray working moms, always, as having guilt?

My dcp had strict hours. I couldn't work past 5:15pm. She closed at 5:30pm. And since the shop doesn't open until 10am, the only way I can work more than 7.5 hours is when I take Dylan to work with me. Which I can do; we have a kids room in the back. He'd rather go to daycare and now Boys and Girls Club where he can run around outside and play with other kids instead of being stuck in the back of a bridal shop.

(How's that for a run on sentence?)

Well, so much for that theory. Maybe it's meds? Her posts are uneven. Almost readable at time and other times totally incoherent.

Man, you make it sound like having an infant in the house again. No thanks; I've already done that 4 times.

Which one? The one this monster thread started with? Or kitchen renovations? Or how clean one's house is? Or who is more tired--the wohm or the sahm?

...Or just basic SAH vs WOH? I seem to recall that being mentioned as the topic somewhere in the past few thousand posts as well.

Never bought a Clorox wipe in my life, lol. I don't clean it up if ds misses; he does.

You realize, don't you, that says NOTHING about living similar lives or having lots of things in common. That definition does NOTHING to support your belief that everyone chooses friends who are like them.

That's what parents are supposed to do--teach children to be independent so that the parents don't have to continue to do things for them long after the children should be doing it themselves. (was that too may pronouns?) Angela was burned by the oven when she was 3-4 and I was standing right there (and I was a sahm at that time). How do you know that the mother was in bed? And did the 7 yo have permission to use the stove or did he just decide in that 7 yo mind that breakfast had to be cooked instead of pouring cereal into a bowl?

Read them? I've written many of them. You still don't have enough information to make that kind of judgment accurately.
