Why does the media portray working moms, always, as having guilt?

"You wouldn't go without mowing it once a week."

We haven't mowed for 6 weeks. Drought.

Making a bed - to me- has nothing to do with pride in owning a home. I DON"T SEE THE POINT. Cleaning a bathroom or kitchen- I see the point- health.

Hmmm, you're right. That one does seem to crop up regularly. I wonder why? :)

My BIL and I are on opposite spectrums. He cannot relax if anything is pouit of place. At least on the surface, he doesn't mind if the closets and cabinets are not neat and tidy on the indaie- as long as he doesn't have to seen them. I, OTOH, can't relax in a pristine environment- I need a bit of clutter to relax. My preference is to have books around in each room (even the bathroom) - so when the boys get the urge to read- there is always something in reach.

So it's heresay and not first hand knowledge. Not exactly admissable evidence. In other words, you really have no idea.

That happens to be the case with your boy and girl. In the case of my children, dd is a daredevil who will climb anything, try anything physical and sometimes has way too much energy for me to cope with. Ds is a very low energy, cautious kid with no interest in risky activities and would rather read a book or be on the computer.

Had I only had my son, I could have theoretically concluded that all boys are calm, cautious children. I'd be wrong, of course. Luckily, I had a whole host of nieces and nephews to observe before my kids were born, so I was fully aware of the fact that girls can sometimes be the climbers and daredevils and boys can sometimes be the calm, quiet kids.
