Why does the media portray working moms, always, as having guilt?

I knew before I had kids that I would have to go back to work. I hold the medical and we need my paycheck to pay bills. Would I like to stay home? Of course, as most of my co-workers would but they are unable. If you dh does not make enough to pay all the bills then there is no question before or after you have kids. Sometimes it is not just black and white.

No, he had a one day stomach virus. If they have anything that makes them have to go home early, they are not allowed back the next day. He had no fever by that evening and no more diarrhea and he was fine.

Hmmm...there's an interesting thought. How is it ever possible for anyone to be in an empty house?

Curious...are you saying that you think that they will or just that you can see the possibility of them doing so?

My mother was a SAHM. I knew fairly early on that I did NOT want to follow in her footsteps. Do you think that the work status of one's own parents has that much influence over one's decision to SAH or WOH?
