Why does the media portray working moms, always, as having guilt?

Ah, there's another point of difference between us. I have never looked at raising our children as a career. For me, raising children is a commitment and a promise, one I made with dh and God. That commitment is not compromised or superceded by my (or dh's) work status nor by my commitment and promise to dh or to the one I made to God.

Yes, I had quite an earful (eyeful?) waiting for me this morning. It was not quite the information I was looking for, but it was a response of sorts.

I haven't read the entire thread so not sure if this person came one day and then gave up. I doubt they are real as if they are, it is very sad!!!

And as for me, the only one that was hard was Erica. The other three were pieces of cake compared to her.

My friend referrs to her highly easygoing daughter as "the decoy child" -- her son that followed has been a challenge from day one. She said if she had had HIM first she wouldn't have had another one!
