Why does the media portray working moms, always, as having guilt?

I'm sorry, I thought it was quite clear.

I never have any problem checking out a full order at the self-check either; the only time I eschew them is if I'm buying cat food because it bugs that i have to scan every stinking can (rather than like the cashier who can scan one and multiply it by the number of cans). Other than that, tho, I like the self-checkout. And our store has a bagger that mans all the aisles and can do price checks and other functions at a terminal at the end of the bank of self-checks, so if you need an employee during the transactions, one is there, but otherwise, you can do it yourself.
When the self-check area is slow, the checker will also bag for you, but if something comes up, she'll leave you to do the rest. Still, that's a nice service.

"BTW, I hate Lifetime. Their movies will suck you in and all of a sudden you've watched 3 in a row, used every tissue in t
and yet again, that's because he DOES make a salary that you can do that on. Dh and I make approximately the same salary. It would be very, very difficult to function on just EITHER of our incomes -- nor does either of us ever want to try. We like it the way it is with BOTH of us contributing financially & otherwise to our household/family.

LOL! Oh the wordiness....why not just come out and SAY it??? Yes, you are a wohm. You have a JOB. It pays you MONEY. It makes NO difference AT ALL what you do with that money. The FACT that you EARN money AND work out of the home (YMCA now is it?) makes you a WOHM.
I'm thinking your sahm chair is empty quite a bit now, LOL!

no. her regular household budget (without her income) is enough to cover what HAS to be covered. it is HER income that makes it possible for the children to participate in their extra interests.
At least I think that's what she meant.

DARN! and all this time I thought I was LIVING my REALITY!!! What else do you think I've been doing for the last 16 years???? ROFLOL!
I've had my cake, cookies AND brownies AND a full-time job while raising kids. Yes, it can be done -- and done very WELL.
Welcome to my reality!

to each their own :)..like i said,if i return to work (in something like banking where salary is in the neighborhood of what other's have quoted their salaries to be),i can do so just because. not because it needs to help pay the mortgage, extra curriculars, etc. that budget is already in place on one income.
