Why does the media portray working moms, always, as having guilt?

well don't forget I only have her every other week -- so I only have to listen to it 1/2 the time! ;-)

It would depend on how many hours per week were involved. Dh and I have investments. If we spend a couple of hours a week managing them I wouldn't consider that a "job". If we were supporting our family by managing these investments and spending hours per day working toward that goal, then I would consider that a job. I wouldn't consider an at home parent, who spends a few hours a week doing things to improve their home, a working parent. I think that the # of hours spent per week and how consistent the profit is would determine, IMO, if that person is a wohp/wahp.

Not for the owner, it's not. It's not income until they pay themselves. They are keeping the profit in the business INSTEAD of paying themselves, therefore it is never considered income.

So how exactly is that different from what a General Contractor does?

So if a woman is at home and sells her own crafts on ebay, she's not a WAHM? Anyone who is self employed is not working?

Am I bad? My 6 year old went to the bus stop himself every day last year. I didn't even bother changing out of my jammies. LOL

Yep. And he's still really driven. Just not only to make money. And physically, he can't do what he used to do in sports so he's had to rechannel that energy too:)
Thank GOD.

I hope he brought you your coffee in bed before he left; otherwise, what's the point of having a kid?
