Did you make your decision to SAH/WAH/WOH ft/pt based primarily on objective/tangible factors, or with your heart?

Maybe that and the fact that my kids are napping longer than usual today, so I'm still here instead of with them!

I'm just trying to understand your opinion, nothing more.

Sure, mine are doing it right now. But not when they were at a developmentally different stage for napping (2 vs 1)

I am saying that if the child is sick then a WOHP shouldn't be worried about being tired. They shouldn't be headed off to work the next day. A sick child shouldn't be taken to DC or left with a nanny when they are sick.

Well waking from a nightmare shouldn't make you sleep deprived. So I am not really sure how that fits in here. My children have never awakened me to go to the bathroom at night. I don't think either get up to go to the bathroom but if they did they would have to pass the bathroom to get me. So I don't think that is necessary either. Both are capable of going to the bathroom alone. I would consider growing pains a medical issue.

Hey now, Sweden's liberal break policies were not part of my statement.

Around here, babies as young as a month are frequently at the parks and playgrounds. I see this as a GOOD thing and not a cause for germ concern. DD went to the park/playground from infancy.
