Did you make your decision to SAH/WAH/WOH ft/pt based primarily on objective/tangible factors, or with your heart?

Thanks. Almost choked on my cough drop there. ROFL ;)

And no- no pigeon poop and rocks until you finish that puddle of year-old standing water infested with mosquito larvae that you started! LOL!

I was guilty of over-purelling when my first DS was born. But he was a preemie and my first, so I think I was a little paranoid. I still use purell on occasion, but mostly just when we are leaving the Dr office or somewhere where germs are rampant.

How close together are your kids in age?

He cried and hollered my name. At what point do you believe an infant should be sleeping through the night?

I respect that. First time mom's are a wreck. The only thing I did but I did it with both of my children was I didn't allow any visitors at the hospital with kids. Both of my kids were born with lung issues. It made me nervous.

1) daycare does not equal group care just because you say it does

2) not all groupcare consists of more children than the child of a SAH might encounter on any given day.

There are children who are in group care .. that are in groups of 3, or 4 or 5. I think kids of SAHPs can easily encounter that many kids at the park, the doctor's office, the museum, the bank, the grocery store.

I don't see how it's relevent.. but 3.5 years apart. You said "Remember- mine are 2yr and 1yr. Playgrounds aren't really their thing just yet. " As if 1 and 2 yrs old are too young to like the park.

Playgroups with other SAHM's. The mall (in stroller unless we're in the play area and it's not crowded). Chuck E Cheese (they have security and an enclosed toddler area). A local place similar to Chuck E Cheese but with more climbing stuff and less arcade games. Story time at the library (stroller only).

Why?

I've been divorced. But it had *nothing* to do with work status. I dont' know of a single divorce of anyone on this board that had anything to do with work status. Not to mention that none of the recent divorcess on this board ever painted a picture perfect life.
