Help! Husband pushing me to find job!

My husband has just taken a leave of absense from his high paying 80 hour a week job to focus on being home more and finding out what he really wants to do. He is now working 3 days a week at a job he really likes. He always said if he took this job he would find another part time job to supplement the income. I am working weekends and babysitting during the week, but my income is a joke. Our kids are 5 and 3 and cry every weekend when I leave. My problem is this: my husband has put no effort in finding that 2nd job he said he would find and is pushing me to work full time. I want to be a stay at home mom, but it may mean him going back to a job he hates. He says the kids will adjust, get over it. Am I being selfish or lazy for wanting to stay home? Is he being selfish for leaving a good paying job?

Are they all your children's ages, older or younger?

I'm surprised he can get away with that in his line of work.

You made me check this in dd's school. The school covers grades 7-9 and there are three classes per grade, about 275 students total. There are 4 science teachers and 3 math teachers. The science teachers cover chemistry, physics, biology and possibly geography, although I am not sure. They do not have each of these lessons in each grade.

The post you responded to was specifically about me and suzy, her being in denial and me feeling like I have had my check book open constantly so spending money on sports/activities was at the fore front of my thoughts.

Same question to you -- what does or would he wear to a funeral?

I guess I'm weird - I like my husband to take me out for dinner to places where men wear suits, or at the very least a suit jacket.

Not to funerals either?

Hmm, you know I don't recall what he wore to the last funeral we attended.

Ok I don't think of a tux as a suit.

My husband owns one, and the reason he owns one is because he had to go someplace last year that required a suit and he tried on the one he bought the year we were married, and it didn't fit anymore. I don't think he'd worn it for eight or nine years.

His line of work is pretty relaxed. He wears a tweed jacket or blazer when he needs to wear a jacket, depending. Greek funerals are not that heavy on the dress code anyway.
