Help! Husband pushing me to find job!

My husband has just taken a leave of absense from his high paying 80 hour a week job to focus on being home more and finding out what he really wants to do. He is now working 3 days a week at a job he really likes. He always said if he took this job he would find another part time job to supplement the income. I am working weekends and babysitting during the week, but my income is a joke. Our kids are 5 and 3 and cry every weekend when I leave. My problem is this: my husband has put no effort in finding that 2nd job he said he would find and is pushing me to work full time. I want to be a stay at home mom, but it may mean him going back to a job he hates. He says the kids will adjust, get over it. Am I being selfish or lazy for wanting to stay home? Is he being selfish for leaving a good paying job?

Ah, no relevance to the topic we were discussing.

I find clothing in general is a tremendous bargain in recent decades relative to the price of most everything else except electronics.

Mine wears a uniform, so as long as his shirts are pressed (professionally, I do not deign to iron work shirts...lol) and he has good work boots, he is set. His weekend wear would consist of jeans and race tshirts but I am always buying him stuff and trying to get him to be a bit more *metrosexual*. He will wear the stuff I get him when we go out, but thats about it!

I just went back through the thread, and it appears that I just replied to the wrong post. I was trying to go on the thread about frugality.

If you want really good food in this area, you need to check out the locals, lol. Sure, the chain restaurants are good and all, but its just not the same. We've always done that when traveling (whenever possible)as well. Often the best food is found at the little diners.

Have you tried Black Bear on Pleasant St? It's one of our favorite restaurants. That and Voyager's at the airport.

Much better than chains.

Again, same here, except that my dh's "uniform" consists of a small rotation of about three pair of dress slacks, a few button down shirts in white or blue, and just a few sport coats.
