Help! Husband pushing me to find job!

My husband has just taken a leave of absense from his high paying 80 hour a week job to focus on being home more and finding out what he really wants to do. He is now working 3 days a week at a job he really likes. He always said if he took this job he would find another part time job to supplement the income. I am working weekends and babysitting during the week, but my income is a joke. Our kids are 5 and 3 and cry every weekend when I leave. My problem is this: my husband has put no effort in finding that 2nd job he said he would find and is pushing me to work full time. I want to be a stay at home mom, but it may mean him going back to a job he hates. He says the kids will adjust, get over it. Am I being selfish or lazy for wanting to stay home? Is he being selfish for leaving a good paying job?

I think it's just two semesters of algebra. I guess that would be completing algebra I.

I live in Michigan. While I can see requiring 4 years of math, pre calc is a high requirement for many students. I can't see telling them they have to have a specific math class because not everyone fits that mold.

I wear 8's and 10's, but the sources where I get my pants all have lots of other sizes.

I also graduated from high school in MI. We needed two years of math, two years of science, three years of english, one year of gym, 1 year civics, one year American history, in our senior year the only required course was divided into three parts, 1/3 of the year governement, 1/3 of the year economics, 1/3 of the year sociology.

I think those were the minimum state requirements which were at that my school required. I knew others in other MI school districts that had tougher requirements.

The requirements for students graduating in 2010 at one of the high schools in the county where I grew up are:

(4) English

(4) Math

Prof/skilled - 3 of the 4 (Alg.1 and above)

Entry level - 2 of the 4 (Alg.1 and above)

(4) Science for Professional or

(3) Science for Skilled

(3) Science for Entry

(4) Social Studies

(1) Phys. Ed.

(1) Health

(1) Fine Arts

(2) Foreign Lang. for Professional or

(3) Career Major Credits for Skilled

(3) Career Major Credits for Entry

(3) Electives

I'm thinking the "professional" students are the ones on a college prep track, "skilled" is for students planning to attend a technical school, and "entry" is for students who take vocational classes during high school. So it must not be Pre-calculus specifically that is required. I can't remember what the exact requirements were when I graduated.

DO they have any requirement for geometry, trig or calculus? Around here, algebra in at least started in Jr High. Frequently, students have both in Algebra I and Algebra II in junior high so they can take a second year of calculus in high school.

I'm in MI too and the thought of Algebra being a requirement is frightening.

Maybe you should come shop where I shop, lol. When I do find plus sized clothes they're always too long in the arms or legs. Apparently, being wide through the middle also means you're approaching 6ft tall.

I'll have to check it out. Seriously, I used to work right around the corner and I've never heard of it.
