Help! Husband pushing me to find job!

My husband has just taken a leave of absense from his high paying 80 hour a week job to focus on being home more and finding out what he really wants to do. He is now working 3 days a week at a job he really likes. He always said if he took this job he would find another part time job to supplement the income. I am working weekends and babysitting during the week, but my income is a joke. Our kids are 5 and 3 and cry every weekend when I leave. My problem is this: my husband has put no effort in finding that 2nd job he said he would find and is pushing me to work full time. I want to be a stay at home mom, but it may mean him going back to a job he hates. He says the kids will adjust, get over it. Am I being selfish or lazy for wanting to stay home? Is he being selfish for leaving a good paying job?

Sorry, I meant to post that to geschetgal. Ruby and Ketchy's is a local diner. Sonic hasn't made its way here yet, which is odd considering it would be a huge hit. We're suddenly getting a whole slew of franchises though so maybe soon.

I've wondered that same thing. If it were me, and I had the desire to spend that much on clothes in one year, I would just spend it all at once on the really good stuff and then not have to bother for awhile. I don't care to shop all that much.

I have officially joined the sports uniform expense club, lol. Dd started tae kwon do last night. It wasn't THAT expensive (no where near $3000/yr for the whole shebang including lessons and testing) but its still more than I'm used to. Way, way more than I'm used to. Luckily the other dd wants to do 4H and nothing else and its not too expensive right off. They played basketball but I had about $60 in it for both kids.

Where is Ruby and Ketchy's? What kind of food do they have? We're going to be in some time in March. Maybe we can try it then. Black Bear is relatively new-- just a few years old. They have local musicians come in to play too.

Congratulations, but you can consider yourself lucky you don't have an ice hockey player.

Because I'm so old that my work stuff has started wearing out!

i find that i can avoid that by shopping plus-sized clothes (18/20) in plus-sized stores: the Avenue, Lane Bryant, Catherine's and Dress Barn Woman. I've had to make very few alterations on any item purchased in these stores.

I hope your dd will enjoy tae kwon do.

We don't have any of those stores here. We do have Cato's but their stuff is usually long on me. Honestly, for jeans, my best bet is Wal-Mart because they offer shorter styles for plus sizes. I never like what is in the Lane Bryant catalog and I can't see paying that much for something I've not tried on.
