Help! Husband pushing me to find job!
| Tue, 11-07-2006 - 10:35am |
My husband has just taken a leave of absense from his high paying 80 hour a week job to focus on being home more and finding out what he really wants to do. He is now working 3 days a week at a job he really likes. He always said if he took this job he would find another part time job to supplement the income. I am working weekends and babysitting during the week, but my income is a joke. Our kids are 5 and 3 and cry every weekend when I leave. My problem is this: my husband has put no effort in finding that 2nd job he said he would find and is pushing me to work full time. I want to be a stay at home mom, but it may mean him going back to a job he hates. He says the kids will adjust, get over it. Am I being selfish or lazy for wanting to stay home? Is he being selfish for leaving a good paying job?

You can hate me, but do it because you know me, not because I’m a member of a group. Anyways, people aren’t grapes --- you can’t weigh them in a bunch, but I guess it’s easier than dealing with people as individuals. There, I’ve solved the riddle of prejudice: it saves time.

Oh, whoops, should've read ahead. ;-)
"Also, I've been enjoying the freedom to purchase nicer clothes than I did as a single mom."
I don't think that day will ever come for me LOL-- in fact those $29 shoes at Target peopl ewere talking about are too rich for my blood. for work I have basics that I just try to mix and match as best I can so it looks like I have more than I do -- in December I set a challenge for myself to go from December to may without buying one new item of apparel -- In May i graduate from my Leadership program and I'd like to hav esomething nice for that so that's what I'm shooting for. This means rotating my 2 pairs of workout pants and patching holes in things --but so far so good. when i DO shop is Old Navy - Gap (outlet only the retail store is too expensive for me) and Target. occasionaly sears orKmart for my dd too. and I do splurge on lands end sandals and swimsuits for my dd each year b/c they carry 1/2 sizes which fit her better.
My daughter goes to parochial school so her uniform total for the year was about $200 that I split with her dad. I have to confess that I'll buy her new things before I'll buy me new things-- but then...she does grow faster than I do LOL
Yes. We. Did.

Actually one of your posts in this thread reminded me of her quote (which I cut & pasted right from her website BTW).
Yes. We. Did.
For all 4 or just the kids?

Are you counting the sports uniforms, practice uniforms, shoes and skates that are needed for children's sport activities in that amount?

I searched bible gateway and didn't find a single mention of homosexuality in a number of versions.
