Yes, lol, there are many "grey" people here and welcome. The discussions do tend to revolve around the extremes. After all, "grey" does not make for much debate.

Welcome to the board. I think that there is a lot of grey here is because a lot of us have done both (or rather all three)--sah, woh, and some of us have wah at various times in our children's lives.

Welcome to where everything is taken out of context and people look for reasons to be insulted and take a black and white approach, and look for justification to their own choices.

Hope you manage to survive.

What happened? Weren't you the one who worked in computers/programming? If you are, you used to be so pleasant. It's not good for you to take things so personally. I don't know what knotted your knickers, but being so nasty all of the time has got to take it's toll.

we must be reading different boards. Most of what I see on here is LOADS of shades of gray -- with a few black and white views thrown in there. I don't think anyone is "looking for" the insult, but will certainly respond to any/all points made.

I've also never seen anyone who had to "justify" their parenting choices. Heck, I certainly don't need ANY justification for continuing to be a wohm -- having been one for 17+ years, I'm very, very happy with all the work and parenting decisions that I've made.

I, too, am so glad that I made the decision that I did...to be a stay at home wife and mother. The only time that I have felt that my decision was looked down upon has been when my answer to the "what do you do?" question is met with..."oh" and a blank stare....the nay sayers have shut up around here too...I would do it the same way all over again and I hope that any grandchildren and great grand
