I've never written on this board before but I'm hoping I can find some other women out there that were in the same spot I am in.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought it was half of PNJ's salary, not half of the household income that was being used to pay for the nanny. I don't see how that is being fiscally irresponsible. If there is anyone here I'm fairly certain has a fiscally responsible financial plan, it's PNJ.

I'm sure there are people out there who would say it's financially irresponsible to employ a nanny when one already has a SAHD, but that's really not for them to say either, is it?

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to convey to you that we are able to save for both college expenses for the boys and pay for our nanny.

The difference is that you wouldn't net ANY money after you paid for childcare for your three children.

Why? We all have different financial priorities.

I don't view your response as showing any compassion. You don't seem to even understand Eileen's situation.

Considering that I manage to run my entire household including afterschool care on less than 1/2 of your net pay I would not consider you financially irresponsible in the least considering that 1/2 of your net PLUS your husbands yearly pay

Yes. We. Did.
