I am about to turn 23 and I want to start trying to have kids when I turn 25. I want to be a stay at home mom. I LOVE kids! I could not be away from my baby. But, heres the problem. How do I afford it? 2 car payments a house payment, and 1 credit card payment! And of course all the other monthly bills. My husband and I both have college degrees but he does make more than me. We both want me to stay at home. How did ya'll switch from 2 incomes to 1? Is everyone just rich? I dont get it! Please help! I know I need to start preparing financially for this now!

Salvation Army gives a tax write off (note *write* off not *right* off) as well.

Does it really matter? The end result is that someone who needed clothes got them, either free or at a very reduced rate.

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color.  Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.

<<im frustrated with someone who wants it all and complains when they don't get it. >>

Then express your frustration with those who have it all and still complain. Don't express your frustration at total strangers and expect commisseration.

If you are so happy with your life....why are you so frustrated with how others live their lives?

i never claimed to be a christian i said i read the bible everybody is a sinner lady and if we werent jesus wouldn't have had to die on the cross and i dont have anything against people with money and i never said all people had to sacrafice to stay at home. i know some woman who work cause they cant stand to be with their kids. when you all were pregnant did you sacrafice things to have a healthy baby sure you did. but ya cant give up a manicure to stay at home with your babies. come on. my kids will be grown one day and then i wont have to sacrafice anymore if a woman a mother really felt she wanted to be with her children and money was in issue she would find a way for it to work and if that means giving up her luxeries for awhile so be it. like i said i have all kinds of friends from ex drug addicts to RN's and i love them all the same cause they are my friends and not what they may have or not have. i love my friends for who they are rich or poor. i wish these woman would just live in the moment with their child and quit worring that they had they lastest car or new bigger house just because someone they know just bought it. i have nothing against people who work hard and buy theirselves nice stuff i have a problem with people who buy things just because the girl at work bought it.

My husband and I spend about the same amount at the store each week and I swear we don't buy much food...I have no idea where it goes! (By the way, I graduated last May and I can count on one hand how many times I have "cooked" more than a frozen/box meal!)
I do think Sam's or BJ's would help. We buy TP, Paper Towels, detergent, dish soap, meat, sodas, bag stuff (like tator tots, french fries, etc.), fruit, and even books there. Membership is usually around $40. a year and it will pay off in one or two trips there. I think a good idea for you would be to visit one of these places and see if you like it. I know BJ's will do a free one day pass to check it out and price their items.

no it wasnt arragant she told her stepson he could not have a video game unless his father bought her something that cost more. needless to say we are not friends anymore. she is a selfish person who only feels good about herself flaunting her money in your face. and i say flaunting because she is the kind of person who would eat a steak in front of a starving man and tell him how good it is.

If she isn't your friend any longer than why are you holding onto your feelings about her? Let it go. You can't change her. But you can change how you respond.
