how do i convince my husband to let me at least job-share so i can take care of our 3 month old dd? he grew up with his mom working & all his friend's moms working. we can afford it if we cut back on some things, but he doesn't want to cut back & just doesn't understand someone wanting to be a stay at home mom...it doesn't help mycause that the grandmothers will babysit. i'm so unhappy about having to go back to work...he wants me to work full time 1 more year & just doesn't get it! i feel like my heart is being ripped from my chest every time i hink about it.

Your last paragraph along with your contention about the average dual wohp families has me pondering something.

Hey, since we are having all the same old debates with you, I have a question:

Remember when you said school teachers could always tell the WOHM children from the SAHM children? Well, I have worked full time when Alex was an infant until he was two. Then, I stayed home and now I am working two nights a week. Next year, when he is in preschool, I will be a full time student. So, when he starts kindgergarten, I will be in school during his school.

Will his teachers be able to tell I worked full time when he was an infant or will he be considered a SAHM child? He has not ever been in

Can you then please post what you think the *AVERAGE* dual WOHP's family schedule is then?

"Can you explain then why our twins whom were breast fed exclusively as infants both caught colds and the older of the twins now 16 months has had 2 ear infections?"

How long did you breastfeed? I take it that at 16 months they are no longer breastfeeding?

Also, what do you mean by, "the older of the twins now 16 months," aren't they both 16 months, seeing as they're twins LOL?

I forget....how long do you exclusively breastfeed (no bottles/cups) your dd?

It isn't against the rules, but it is strongly discouraged at our school. Far too dangerous when there are 349 crazy SAHMs picking up their kids! lol

Aren't twins normally born one at a time....therefore one would be older than the other?

Heck, our schools don't even have parking lots for non-faculty. You have to park on the street for all of them.

Totally off topic but oh well:

When I was a novice at the pick up line, I would always get there only five minutes beforehand. One day I waited forever in the heat. Finally, got one car behind from picking up Zak and the woman in front of me got out of her car to put her baby back in the carseat. She had been nursing the baby and hadn't put the child back into the carseat when the kids got let out and she was no where near the front. Oh, I was so mad. She took forever and held up the whole line.

Now, I get there at 2:30. School lets out at 2:50. I am at the front and usually Alex falls asleep waiting. Peace and quiet and I can read a book or a magazine while I wait. Zak gets hot waiting so he likes me at the front. He doesn't complain as much when I am at the front.

On topic:

My work status is different in each paragraph. Can you guess if
