How do you do it?

To all you ladies that drop your infants off at daycare, how do you do it? I have to go back to work in 45 days, and when I look at my sweet little babys face and think of strangers holding her, I just tear up. I thought i'd be able to stay home, but my husband would rather me work, and I don't want to cause tension in our relationship. Why have kids if you can't take care of them? My sil drops her 3 off from 7am to 6 pm. What's the point of having them?

Any helpful advice?

My kids are in places without a parent for about 9 hours a day right now.

My point was just that, if you have one baby, put them in day care for 11 hours, get home at 630, put them to bed at 8, why have another? She sees them for 1.5 hrs each night. But I realize this isn't my business. I was using this example to make a point. I'm having a hard time at the thought of day care.

I saw my boys for about 1.5 hours each weeknight when they were infants.

I did it primarily because I wanted to keep my career going, and I knew they would get older and I would see them longer periods as they aged.

How old are you and how old is your SIL?
