How involved should men be with their children and how involved ARE men (in reality) involved with their children?
Please indicate if you have children and you are speaking from personal experience. I think it would also be interesting to see how each gender views this topic, so please also indicate if you're male or female.

We're Waste Management, too, but I pay them directly since I live in an unincorporated area. It's about $60 for 3 months. (One 96 gallon garbage, one 96 gal yard waste, one 96 gal recycling.) My dad pays much less for 2 pickups a week in AZ, but they have two competing garbage companies, so that's why.

<I think you are still missing my point. Let me make it a bit clearer... in my mind, there is a very large difference between a husband who happens to change no diapers, and a husband who refuses to change diapers.>

I agree with this.

We have wheels on our cans and I love it :)

Either one of us brings it out. They pick up twice a week.

We have to buy our own garbage cans but are provided with wrap cans (for plastic).

Same here. We have one great big rolling trash can that we paid for ourselves, and trash pickup is twice a week. I would hate to actually lift and carry the trash can out to the curb. It's nice to be able to have the baby in one arm and take the trash out in one trip with the other if DH has forgotten to do it.

Yes we have the kind with wheels--they are so convenient. I wouldn't want to carry it out & I'm glad my dh doesn't have to either (bad back). When we bought ours, the refuse place said which size to get & I don't even think the store had any except the kind with wheels. If they did I never considered it. There are times the more expensive item is worth the cost. Wheels on the garbage are worth the extra money.
