How does this relate to the debate?

Hey I rhymed! lol

Something occurred to me earlier and I wanted to see how others thought it might relate to the whole "which is harder SAH/WOH" portion of the debate that crops up so often.

I think that, when you look at either group *as a whole*, the WOHs might have it harder. And this is why ...

There are virtually no SAHMs who SAH because they "have to". There are virtually no SAHMs who are forced to SAH. A woman that SAH wants to SAH.(I'm sure there's a few exceptions out there; controlling dhs who MAKE their wives SAH, disabled children, etc) A woman that SAH doesn't hate her "job", or else she'd go get a WOH job. A woman that SAH is generally getting what she wants.

There are LOTS AND LOTS of WOHMs who WOH because they "have to". A single mom, or one whose dh doesn't make enough to support the family, or one with a disabled dh, whatever the case may be ... she may long, with all her heart, to SAH, but *can't*. Many WOHMs hate their jobs, but can't quit.

Anyhoo ... just wanted to stir up something new

Because the definitions of those terms as you have used them here are not accepted by anyone but you and your little clutch of yes-Mommy's. Why *should* any of us give a rat's hind quarters whether some troll-esque attention-vampire on the internet thinks we parent naturally or artificially?

Long before I care if you approve of my parenting methods, I'm going to be worried about *real* issues, like whether or not the shoelaces in my shoes are evenly strung or if cat box is aligned properly with the plumbing fixtures....or how far my budgies can fling their poop....you know...important stuff in comparison to your opinion of my (or anyone else's) parenting...

I didn't see that she made any such assumption. A hick town is a hick town, despite it's size. I never felt personally insulted by pnj's comment that SHE wouldn't want to live in a hick town (neither would I). I wonder why you took it so personally?

ya know i have to laugh...you seem to have a problem with the way i navigate the boards. It is your little group who responds to me without clearly reading and responding to what i have said in the context of what i have written. You seem to think i need to clarify myself over and over when my posts have been misrepresented by the "group" but when i ask for clarification iam unable to navigate, explain or understand.

I get your motto, do as i say not as i do.....

ill never buy into that.

Ah, but I can prop a bottle up with a pillow and allow the little munchkin to suck man-made rubber whilst peeling store bought potatoes that were grown in Idaho with as much pesticide as possible.

Now *that* is as natural as my "sperm connecting with the egg-made self" will ever get. (I would have said "man-made" but hey...you *do* need a woman to help create a child)

(your talking to a woman who NEVER had the urge to breast feed and finds formula to be a nice little invention)

;O)

Please, buy a period. Then throw in a comma for good measure. IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO READ YOUR RUN ON SENTENCES!!!

If you really don't know how to punctuate, create your post in Word, run the grammar check, and then cut & paste it into the post.

I'm not trying to pick on you. Lord knows we don't expect perfect grammar, spelling & punctuation on a message board. Your diatribes are amusing and would be much easier to read if you would PUNCTUATE and try to keep your compound sentences down to two *related* ideas.

I disagree. <>

That sentence indicates that if you live anywhere that is not a city that with high salaries is a hick town.
